Compass

Signal for the C-suite. Not noise.

Compass filters the full Avennorth intelligence layer through a per-executive persona lens — delivering directional advice tailored to the CEO, CRO, CCO, CFO, COO, CIO, CISO, or General Counsel with confidence bands, falsifiable assumed facts, and decision readiness scoring.

The Problem

Executives make strategic decisions without operational intelligence. Or they get a 200-slide deck.

The CIO gets a biweekly operations review with 47 charts, most of which don't apply to the decisions they're making this week. The CEO gets a verbal summary of a summary. The CFO makes budget decisions about technology risk without seeing the actual exposure. Meanwhile, Bearing has the health scores. Vantage investigated the last three P1s. Pathfinder knows what's drifting. Compass takes all of it and distills it to what each executive actually needs to decide — filtered by persona, graded by confidence, and classified by urgency.

Persona Intelligence

The right signal.
For the right executive.
When they can act on it.

Compass doesn't broadcast everything to everyone. Events from Bearing, Pathfinder, Vantage, and Trust pass through a noise gate — filtered by confidence and materiality before reaching any persona. What surfaces for the CIO is different from what surfaces for the CFO, and both differ from what surfaces for the CEO. Every card shows its assumed facts, its confidence band, and what would change the recommendation.

Persona-filtered routing

Eight executive personas, each with a distinct intelligence profile. No persona sees signals that belong to another decision domain.

Falsifiable assumed facts

Every directive card lists the facts used to generate it and which, if different, would change or retract the recommendation. No black-box advice.

Noise gate before surfacing

Events must meet confidence and materiality thresholds before reaching Compass. Low-confidence signals are held, not surfaced as noise.

Decision readiness scoring

A 5-subscore composite evaluates whether the executive has enough context to act before a directive surfaces — not just whether data is available.

How It Works

Four steps, end to end.

01

Events flow through a noise gate

Every platform event — health score changes, incident resolutions, topology drifts, anomaly signals — passes through a noise gate before reaching Compass. Only events that meet confidence and materiality thresholds are surfaced.

02

Map to executive personas

Each event is mapped to the relevant executive personas based on its nature: a P1 incident maps to CIO and CEO; a renewal-at-risk signal maps to CRO and CCO; a cost anomaly maps to CFO. Personas only see what belongs to their decision domain.

03

Generate directional advice

A directional advice card is generated for each relevant persona — with a recommended action, a confidence band, a timeframe (Immediate / This Week / This Month / Monitor), and the explicit assumed facts used to generate the recommendation.

04

Score decision readiness

Compass evaluates whether the executive has enough context to act: data freshness, signal strength, confidence breadth, stakeholder alignment, and precedent match. Low readiness delays the card — high readiness escalates it.

Who It's For

Built for the people who own this problem.

01

CIO / CTO

Operational health, CSDM posture, and incident intelligence — distilled to what requires their decision, not their attention.

02

CFO

Technology cost exposure and remediation investment framing — without needing to interpret raw infrastructure data.

03

CEO / Board

A single intelligence feed that translates operational and compliance risk into business exposure and strategic decisions.

04

CRO / CCO

Revenue risk signals — renewal threats, pipeline exposure, and customer impact events — alongside operational context.

05

CISO

Compliance posture, access risk, and security exposure — distilled to what requires a decision, not another SIEM dashboard to monitor.

06

General Counsel

Regulatory and contractual risk surfaced from the operational substrate — with the assumptions behind every flag made explicit and challengeable.

Why Compass

Built different.

Four capabilities you won't find assembled anywhere else.

01

Eight executive personas

Each sees only what's relevant.

CEO, CRO, CCO, CFO, COO, CIO, CISO, General Counsel — each with a distinct intelligence profile built from their decision domain. A CRO sees pipeline risk and renewal threats. A CFO sees cost exposure and budget variance. A CISO sees compliance posture and access risk. No persona receives what's irrelevant to their decisions.

02

Falsifiable assumed facts

No black-box recommendations.

Every directional advice card lists the assumptions used to generate it — and which facts, if different, would change the recommendation. Executives see exactly why they're being told what they're being told, and what would change it. This is mandatory, not optional documentation.

03

Decision readiness scoring

Surface advice when it's actionable.

A 5-subscore composite (data freshness, signal strength, confidence breadth, stakeholder alignment, precedent match) determines whether advice is ready to surface. Urgency is classified as Immediate, This Week, This Month, or Monitor. Executives receive advice when they can act on it — not just when data is available.

04

Revenue intelligence integration

Strategy and operations in one view.

The CRO and CCO personas connect to the GPS Revenue substrate — surfacing pipeline risk thresholds, sandbox simulation failures, coaching signals, renewal-at-risk crossings, and compensation anomalies alongside the operational layer. Revenue and operations in the same executive view.

POWERED BY INTELLIGENCE

Indicators and intelligence,
grounded in this product.

HOW INTELLIGENCE REASONS HERE

Compass is the terminal surface for Intelligence output. Every briefing is built from surviving hypotheses — the claims that could not be falsified against platform evidence. Intelligence then re-renders those findings through a persona filter, calibrating language, risk framing, and recommended action to the specific executive receiving the brief.

Intelligence Chain

Where Compass fits in the platform.

Compass is the terminal layer. It distills, filters, and contextualizes the intelligence from every upstream module into per-persona executive action. It doesn't generate new intelligence — it makes existing intelligence actionable.
